How to Put Money on an Inmate’s Account at Collin County — and What It Can Be Used For

When someone is booked into Collin County, the facility sets up a personal trust account for them. Any cash they had at booking gets deposited automatically, and funds you send while they're housed at the Collin County Detention Facility go into that same account.

How to Put Money on an Inmate’s Account at Collin County — and What It Can Be Used For

Collin County uses Access Corrections Secure Deposits for inmate trust fund deposits. You have several options: the Access Corrections mobile app, deposit kiosks, phone deposits, walk-in cash deposits at participating retailers, or a secure lockbox.

  1. Call Access Corrections - Dial 636-888-7004.
  2. Deposit with an agent - You’ll be connected with a live, bilingual agent who can help you complete the deposit.

Prefer to deposit in person? Kiosks are available in the Collin County Detention Facility lobbies. Access Corrections also operates 800+ kiosk locations nationwide, so there may be one closer to home.

  1. Register to get a barcode - Sign up through CashPayToday to receive a barcode.
  2. Bring your barcode and cash to a participating retailer - Use the barcode to make a cash deposit at a walk-in location.

You can also mail a money order to the Access Corrections Secure Lockbox. Follow their instructions carefully when submitting a deposit this way.

Bringing cash for commissary? Collin County requires you to deposit it at the on-site kiosk.

Heads up: The Bonds Office accepts cash for bonding purposes only. It will not take cash for commissary or other trust account deposits.

Do not mail funds: The Collin County Detention Facility does not accept cash, checks, or money orders by mail for inmate accounts.
