Why Your Personal Mail No Longer Goes Directly to Columbiana County Jail
If you've been mailing letters the usual way, that process has changed. Columbiana County Jail no longer accepts personal mail at the facility. All personal mail now goes through the Securus Digital Mail Center.
Columbiana County Jail no longer accepts personal mail directly at the facility. Letters, cards, and other personal correspondence all need to go through the Securus Digital Mail Center. Don't address your mail to the jail itself.
Reminder: Do not send personal mail directly to Columbiana County Jail. Send it to the Securus Digital Mail Center using the required format.
Address your mail to the Securus Digital Mail Center with the inmate's name and number. Use this exact format: INMATE NAME AND NUMBER C/O Securus Digital Mail Center - Columbiana County PO Box 1279 Lebanon, MO 65536

- ✓ Address it to: C/O Securus Digital Mail Center - Columbiana County
- ✓ Use this mailing address: PO Box 1279, Lebanon, MO 65536
- ✓ Put your return name and address on the envelope
If you want the original back: Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your mail. Also put your return name and address on the outside of the envelope, since improperly addressed mail can be sent back to you.
Once your mail reaches the Securus Digital Mail Center, it gets digitally scanned. Your loved one then views the scanned version on facility terminals and tablets. The original paper letter is not delivered the way it used to be.
How your loved one reads it: Personal mail is scanned and viewed on terminals and tablets. If you want your original returned, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your mailing.
Not everything goes through Securus. The facility still accepts Legal Mail directly. Publications and packages can also be sent directly, as long as they come from a publisher, distributor, or authorized retailer (as outlined in the Inmate Handbook and facility procedure).
- Use a money order (not cash or checks). Columbiana County Jail allows inmate funds to be sent by mail via money orders only.
- Address the money order to the facility. Send it to:

- Label the envelope clearly. Write “MONEY ORDER” on the outside of the envelope so it is handled correctly.
Warning: If the envelope is not clearly marked “MONEY ORDER,” it will be returned to the sender.
