Prepare for a visit at Columbus County Detention Center
Prepare for visitation with the required photo ID and visitor-list rules, visiting hours, and the shared 20-minute weekly visit limit.
You must be on the detained person’s visitation list and bring valid photo ID to sign in at Columbus County Detention Center. If you are not listed, you will be refused. There are no exceptions to these requirements, and staff may deny visitation to you or the detained person for reasons they deem appropriate. Each detained person is allowed one 20-minute visit per week. Up to four visitors can share that visit, but the time is divided among them, not granted separately to each visitor. If you are visiting with family or friends, coordinate how you will share the time.
