Visiting Hours and Limits: What to Know Before You Go to DLMCJC
Visiting someone at DLMCJC goes smoother when you know the schedule and weekly limits upfront. Here's what you need to know about public hours, professional visiting times, and the rules that determine whether you'll get in.
Public visitation at DLMCJC runs on Fridays from 8:30 to 15:30. Build in extra time before your visit so check-in doesn't cut into your window.
Saturdays are also open for public visits, same hours: 8:30 to 15:30. If you're visiting as family or a friend, plan around this schedule.
Reminder: You’ll need to register when you enter, and all visitors are searched before the visit using hand-held and walk-through (stationary) scanning devices.
Attorneys, their representatives, bondspersons, and TCSO volunteer clergy have a separate schedule. They can visit from 08:00 to 19:00.
All visitation ends at 19:00 - no exceptions. Visits don't resume until 08:00 the next day.
Attorney visits work differently. There's no cap on how many inmates an attorney can see in a day, and these visits don't count against an inmate's weekly visitation limit.
Each inmate gets one visit per week. Keep this in mind if multiple family members want to see the same person - you'll need to coordinate.
Visitors are limited too: you can only visit one inmate per week. The only exception is if you've been granted a special visit.
Special visits: Any exception must be granted in writing by the Jail Administrator.
For juvenile inmates, only a parent or legal guardian may visit. Bring proof - a birth certificate, court-issued guardianship papers, or a court order.
