If the person you're supporting wants to travel outside their supervision area for an overnight or extended stay, they need written permission from their Officer. This is called a travel permit. Don't assume a quick trip is fine just because it's for family or work. Get the permit first.
- Give the Officer the stay details: Provide the address and phone number for where the person will be staying.
- Wait for approval and completion: Once the travel permit is complete and approved, it will be available for pick up at the Probation & Parole office.
- Sign the permit when it is issued: Both the person on supervision and the Officer will sign the travel permit when it is issued.
