If you’d rather pay in person, there’s a TouchPay kiosk in the Durham County Detention Center lobby. It’s available 24 hours a day and accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Moneypak, which makes it a good option when you need to add funds outside normal business hours.

Note: A service fee is applied to each deposit made at the lobby kiosk.

You can also make a deposit by phone through TouchPay at 1-866-232-1899. The phone line is available 24 hours a day; you’ll need the inmate’s ID/JCA number, and you’ll be asked for the facility number 227701.

To deposit by mail, Durham County only accepts cashier’s checks or money orders. Send them to: DCSO Money Intake, PO Box 544, Durham, NC 27702.

If you were planning to handle things at the detention facility’s Money Intake window, that window is closed (effective March 1, 2017). Money Intake staff are available on Wednesdays from 1:00pm to 3:30pm for inmate release forms and certain inquiries.
