Bring two forms of identification for every adult visitor. One of those IDs must be a current, state-issued photo ID, so check the expiration date before you go.

Driving? Have your vehicle information ready at check-in. It saves you from scrambling in the parking lot.

Brought something that can't go in? Free lockers are available at the facility. You'll accept personal responsibility for your property and carry the key with you - just know the facility won't be responsible for anything you store there.

Medication rules are strict. Only two exceptions: physician-prescribed heart medication in a properly labeled container, or a prescribed asthma inhaler. Leave everything else at home.

Keep jewelry minimal: up to two rings (one can be a wedding ring), one pair of earrings, and any piercings you can't remove. Anything beyond that goes in a locker - and you're responsible for what you store.

Reminder: The chief administrative officer can deny, suspend, or restrict visiting privileges for security concerns, space limits, disruptive behavior, abuse of visiting privileges, or violations of laws or facility rules.
