Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex

Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex (EKCC) requires visits to be scheduled one week in advance. Visits run in two periods—9:00–11:00 and 1:00–3:00—and you must arrive during check-in windows (8:00–8:45 for morning, 12:00–12:45 for afternoon). Before your first visit, you'll need to be on the approved visitor list and complete any required forms and background checks. Contact visits allow up to three visitors (a walking child counts as one), while controlled visits are limited to two. Physical contact is limited to one brief kiss and hug at the start and end of each visit; sexual activity is prohibited. Dress modestly, wear appropriate footwear, and use front-lobby lockers for small items within cash and jewelry limits—anything not allowed inside will be returned or disposed of. General Population inmates start with three video visits and three in-person visits per month.

Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex (EKCC) uses Securus Video Connect for scheduled video visits. The system is fully web-based—register, schedule, and join from an app, computer, or tablet. Video visits run Monday–Friday from 6:30pm–8:30pm and last 25 minutes. You initiate the request and can schedule up to 30 days in advance, but must book at least 48 hours before the session. During registration, upload proof of licensure (image or PDF) and complete phone or text verification if prompted. Passwords must be at least eight characters with at least one lowercase letter and one number. Once approved, your status changes to verified and you'll receive a Mail ID starting with a letter. Avoid mailing original third-party documents unless they're official records. If an original signature is required, arrange for signing in the client's presence.
