If Your ERDCC Visiting Application Is Denied: How to Appeal in Missouri

Got denied? You can appeal - but the clock is ticking. Missouri DOC gives you 30 days to submit a written appeal, addressed to the Missouri Department of Corrections, Attn: Deputy Division Director of Adult Institutions.

Mail your written appeal to: Missouri Department of Corrections, Attn: Deputy Division Director of Adult Institutions, 2729 Plaza Drive, PO Box 236, Jefferson City, MO 65102.

Heads up: Missouri DOC pages list conflicting ZIP codes for this same address (65102 vs 65109). Call Constituent Services to confirm before mailing - you don't want your appeal delayed over a wrong ZIP.

Once Missouri DOC receives your appeal, they'll review the information. The final decision comes by mail, so keep your address current on everything you submit.

If your appeal gets denied, you're not shut out permanently. Missouri DOC policy allows denied visitors to reapply after one year.
