How to Put Money on an Inmate’s Phone Account at Ely State Prison (ConnectNetwork / ViaPath)
If your loved one is at Ely State Prison (ESP), prepaid calling is handled through ViaPath Technologies using the ConnectNetwork system (AdvancePay). Here's how to add money, what to expect for posting times, and where to get help if something goes wrong.
Ely State Prison uses ViaPath Technologies (ConnectNetwork) for prepaid calling through an AdvancePay account. You add funds specifically for phone calls through ConnectNetwork's online system. This is separate from an offender trust account, so the money goes directly toward calls.
- Deposit online through ConnectNetwork. Use the ConnectNetwork website to fund the AdvancePay account for phone calls at ESP.
- Deposit with the ConnectNetwork mobile app. Install the ConnectNetwork app on Android or iOS and make your AdvancePay deposit from your phone.
Prefer to pay by phone, or stuck during online setup? Call 1-800-483-8314. The automated system can process your deposit, or you can ask to speak with a live agent for help.
- ✓ Use a ViaPath installed kiosk, where available.
- ✓ Make a deposit at your local Western Union.
You can also fund an AdvancePay account by mail. Send a check or money order payable to "ViaPath AdvancePay" to: AdvancePay Service Dept., PO Box 911722, Denver, CO 80291-1722.
ViaPath accepts Visa and Mastercard for AdvancePay deposits, including credit cards, debit cards, and prepaid cards.
Tip: When you deposit using a credit or debit card, the money appears in the AdvancePay account almost immediately.
Need help with an ESP prepaid calling account? Reach ViaPath Customer Care at 1-877-650-4249. If your issue is specifically about making a deposit or setting up funding by phone, call the automated line at 1-800-483-8314 (you can also request a live agent there).
Calls from Ely State Prison may show up on your caller ID as 775-296-5141. Save it in your contacts so you can recognize the call quickly and avoid missing it.
Note: Traditional collect billing may be available if your local phone company allows it. If so, your provider may apply a 90-day rolling spending limit and a monthly fee.
Phone funding (AdvancePay) is separate from the offender's trust account. If you need to send money for commissary or other trust-account uses within NDOC, the standard options include using a Lockbox Deposit Coupon with a cashier's check or money order, or making an Access Corrections deposit by credit or debit card.
Timing heads-up: Money orders and cashier's checks received directly by NDOC take 14 calendar days after receipt before the offender can access them. If you need call money available fast, card-funded AdvancePay deposits post almost immediately.
