FDC SeaTac Visiting Hours, Odd/Even Rules, and Visitor Processing

Social visiting at FDC SeaTac is available four days a week, with hours that vary by day. Sunday and Saturday visits run from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday and Friday visits run from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There is no social visiting on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. On holidays, social visiting hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you're traveling for a holiday visit, build in extra time for lines and processing so you don't feel rushed.

• ✓ Cadre inmates can visit on all available social visiting days (Friday through Monday), but visits are still limited to two hours.
• ✓ Each inmate may be limited to a maximum of six visitors total (including adults).

Legal visits follow a separate schedule and are available on days when social visiting is not. Monday legal visiting runs from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday legal visiting is 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday is 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Worth noting: on Monday and Friday, legal visiting hours are significantly longer than the social visiting window on those same days.

If your loved one is a pre-trial, holdover, or ICE inmate at FDC SeaTac, visiting days may be restricted by an odd/even rule tied to their register number. The key is the fifth digit in that number. Odd fifth digit? They can visit on odd calendar days. Even fifth digit? Even calendar days. For example, a register number like 01234-086 has a fifth digit of 4, so that inmate visits on even days. A register number like 12461-086 also has an even fifth digit (6), so the same rule applies. Inmates whose fifth digit is 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 visit on odd days.

1. Arrive before processing opens: Visitor processing begins 30 minutes before the scheduled visiting hours start, so plan to be on site before that window if you want to be near the front of the line.
2. Do not cut it close to the end of the day: Visitor processing ends one and one-half hours before the end of the visitation period. If you show up after that cutoff, you may not be processed in.
3. Watch for count-related pauses: Processing of visitors is suspended 45 minutes prior to official counts. If a count is coming up, arriving earlier gives you the best chance of getting through before processing pauses.

Social visits at FDC SeaTac are capped at two hours, and each inmate is allowed only one social visit per day. If you're traveling a long distance, plan around that two-hour window. Don't expect an all-day visit.
