Need a copy of a crash report? The Floyd County Sheriff's Office has a few strict requirements that can slow things down if you miss them. Here's what to know before requesting in person or by mail.
The Floyd County Sheriff's Office only releases accident reports to people directly connected to the crash - involved parties, victims, or insurance agencies listed on the report.
Each copy of an accident report costs $6.00. If you think you’ll need more than one copy (for an insurance claim, employer, or your own records), plan your payment accordingly.
In Person

- ✓ $6.00 payment (cash, personal check, cashier’s check, or money order)
The fee is $6.00 per copy, even when you request the report in person.

Note: For mailed requests, out-of-county personal checks will not be accepted.
