How to Visit Facility

Everyone entering Foothills Correctional Institution passes through a gate house checkpoint for security clearance. Once you're through, head to the main building entrance. You'll walk into a lobby and reception area where staff can point you toward the visiting room.

You may notice PREA audit notices posted throughout the facility, including at the gate house, in the lobby, and near the visitation area. These are standard postings related to prison safety audits.

1. Start at the gate house check point. Everyone entering the facility undergoes security clearance there.
2. Go to the main building entrance. From there, you will enter the lobby.
3. Check in at the lobby and reception/administration area. Use this area to confirm where you should report and what to do next.
4. Proceed to the visiting area inside the administrative building. Follow staff directions once you are checked in.
