How Clergy and Ministers Can Visit Inmates at Forsyth County Detention Center

Ordained clergy and licensed ministers can conduct non-contact pastoral visits at Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center (FCLEDC). These visits don't count against the inmate's two-visits-per-week limit, making it easier to provide consistent spiritual support.

To request a pastoral visit, you must be ordained clergy or a licensed minister associated with a church, Christian group, or another recognized religious order. All clergy visits at FCLEDC are non-contact - you'll be separated from the inmate during your visit.

Good to know: Non-contact pastoral visits do not count toward the inmate’s two-visits-per-week limit.

Clergy visits happen in the regular visitation rooms and last up to 30 minutes. Three time blocks are available: 8:00–9:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., and 3:00–5:30 p.m. These windows are open every day except Friday.
