Visitation at Fulton Reception & Diagnostic Center

How to visit, scheduling, dress code, and visitor requirements

Overview

Visiting at Fulton Reception & Diagnostic Center (FRDC) starts with pre-approval through the facility's online visiting application. You'll need the offender's DOC ID, and you must complete the form honestly—approval includes a criminal-history check. FRDC approves immediate and extended family, significant others, friends, and clergy. You're generally limited to visiting only one offender unless you're immediate family of multiple offenders. Visiting hours run Friday–Sunday, 9:30am–1:30pm and 2:30pm–6:30pm. Arrive in the parking lot no earlier than 30 minutes before visiting starts—entry is first-come, first-served. Security screening includes metal detectors, X-ray baggage scanners, and the Intercept full-body scanner (adults 18+ unless an approved exception applies). Visitors, children, packages, and vehicles may all be searched. Bring valid photo ID, follow dress and contact rules, and note that reception/orientation status limits visits to one per month while awaiting assignment.
