Gila County Jail

All visits at Gila County Jail are video-only through the Getting Out platform—no in-person visits are available. Inmates become eligible after their initial court appearance. The jail is closed for visitation on Mondays, with specific time blocks published for Tuesday through Sunday. If Monday is a holiday, Tuesday visitation is also canceled. Each eligible inmate gets one free one-hour video visit per week, and you can purchase additional visits through the GettingOut app. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID showing your date of birth. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Dress code rules are enforced, and taking photos or recording during visits can get your visitation account suspended.

Gila County Jail uses the GettingOut platform for visitor accounts and communication. Create your account at gettingout.com or download the GettingOut mobile app. When setting up your profile, you'll need your date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. To enable visits, verify your account using a phone number and email address. Once verified, you can add funds, schedule video visits, or send messages through the platform. Mail to Gila County Jail works differently depending on what you're sending. To deposit funds, mail a cashier's check or money order to Gila County Jail, P.O. Box 311, Globe, AZ. Write "Attention Property Master" on the envelope so property staff can route it correctly. Include the incarcerated person's full name and ID, plus your legible return address. Personal letters, greeting cards, drawings, and photos go through Arizona's centralized digital mail scanning system and are delivered electronically. Stick to accepted items and skip staples, stickers, and adhesives. Legal mail follows separate procedures and must be sent unbound or in the required format to the inmate's assigned unit.

Gila County Jail accepts only money orders or cashier's checks—no cash. Drop them off at the Jail Visitation Lobby Window in Globe or Payson (available 24/7), or mail to Gila County Jail, P.O. Box 311, Globe AZ. Mark mailed envelopes "Attention Property Master." The jail runs its own commissary where inmates can buy clothing basics, writing supplies, snacks, and hygiene items. Visitors cannot drop off clothing or other items. Funds can't be transferred between inmate accounts. To release funds to a third party, the inmate must submit an Inmate Request Form. Approved releases are issued by check payable to the requested party. Special fees apply for out-of-county housing and Work Release.
