What You Need to Know Before Your First Video Visit at Gila County Jail
Your first video visit is usually straightforward once you know what trips people up. Use this checklist to confirm eligibility, bring the right ID, follow the dress code, and avoid account suspensions.
At Gila County Jail, inmates become eligible for visitation after their initial appearance before a Judge or Magistrate. All visits are electronic through the Getting Out platform - there's no in-person visitation at this facility. Plan for a video visit from the start.
You can do the visit from home or use the electronic visitation stations at the Globe facility. Each eligible inmate gets one hour of free video visits per week. Need more time? Additional visits are charged through the Getting Out app.
ID and Age Requirements
- ✓ Bring a valid government-issued photo ID that shows your date of birth (for example: driver’s license, Arizona ID, passport).
Age rules are strict - no one under 18 can visit unless accompanied by an adult. Visiting in a professional capacity? Have your credentials ready: bar ID, provider ID, law enforcement credentials, private investigator's license, or interpreter certification.
Dress Code
- ✓ Do not wear sheer, see-through, open-netted, or mesh clothing.
- ✓ Avoid clothing with profanity or inappropriate/offensive language, pictures, symbols, or designs.
Warning: Picture taking or any electronic recording during visitation is strictly prohibited. If you do it, your visitation account may be suspended.
Visits are closed on Mondays and run Tuesday through Sunday. One exception: if Monday is a holiday, visits are also closed the following Tuesday. Time blocks are 9:30–11:30 a.m., 1:00–4:30 p.m., and 6:30–8:30 p.m.
When picking a time slot, remember the weekly free hour. Each eligible inmate gets one hour of free visits per week - any additional time is charged through the Getting Out app.
