Goodman Unit holds in-person visits on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., so plan for weekend travel. How often someone can receive visits depends on their custody level—G1, J1, and J2 inmates get one contact visit per week. To schedule, create your own account in the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler and verify it using the emailed 7-digit validation code. When adding an inmate, you'll need their 8-digit TDCJ/SID number. Each inmate can have up to 10 people on their Visitors List, and changes are limited to set intervals. All visits (except attorney-client) are electronically monitored. To send personal mail to someone at Goodman Unit for digital delivery, address it to the TDCJ Digital Mail Processing Center (PO Box 660400, Dallas, TX 75266-0400). Include the inmate's full name and TDCJ number so it routes correctly. You have two main ways to add funds for someone at Goodman Unit. For mail deposits, send a money order or cashier's check payable to "Inmate Trust Fund for Offender Name and Number."
