Arriving at Green Haven: Entrance, Screening, and the 1:30 PM Cutoff

Green Haven visiting days are Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Visiting hours run from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, so plan your travel with that window in mind - especially if you’re coming from a distance.

Cutoff time: Even though visits run until 2:30 PM, the latest arrival time to be processed is 1:30 PM.

Head to the Visitor Processing area through the side entrance (also the handicap entrance). This is the designated check-in point - using a different door will just cost you time.

Screening: You'll go through security when you enter Visitor Processing, so build in extra time for that step.

Around 10:30 AM, Green Haven pauses visit processing for the facility count. Processing resumes once the count clears, but the pause can create a backup. Want to avoid the wait? Arrive well before or after that mid-morning window.
