Green River's Dress Code: What You Can and Cannot Wear to Visiting

The dress code exists for safety and security reasons. Bottom line: follow the rules or you won't get in.

Length matters. Shorts, dresses, and skirts can't sit more than 2 inches above your knee when standing. If you're torn between two options, go with the longer one - don't leave it up to the officer at check-in.

  • Shorts that are more than 2 inches above the knee when standing
  • Dresses that are more than 2 inches above the knee when standing
  • Skirts that are more than 2 inches above the knee when standing

Leave the headwear at home. Hats, caps, bandanas, scarves, and hoods are all prohibited. Wearing a hoodie? Keep the hood down and be ready to remove it before entering.

Religious head coverings: Religious head coverings are permitted, but they may be subject to search.

Green River's Dress Code: What You Can and Cannot Wear to Visiting
  1. Check the hemline while standing - if your shorts, dress, or skirt is more than 2 inches above the knee, don’t wear it.
  2. Skip non-religious head coverings - leave hats, caps, bandanas, scarves, and hoods out of your visiting outfit.
  3. Bring a backup option - if you’re on the fence about length or headwear, having an alternative can save the trip.
  4. Be ready to comply at the door - if your clothing doesn’t meet the rules, you may be denied entry.

Bottom line: Break the dress code, lose your visit.
