How to Use Greene County Jail Video Visits: Free weekly sessions, registration, dress code, and termination rules
Video visits at Greene County Jail are easy once you understand the limits and what can get a session cut short. Here's how the free weekly visits work, how to register, and what to avoid so you don't waste your time.
Each inmate gets three free personal video visits per week, 25 minutes each. Plan around that weekly limit so you don't burn through them too early.
Two of those three free visits must happen in the Greene County Jail lobby. Even if you'd rather visit from home, you'll need to make time for lobby visits to use all your free sessions.
The third free visit can be done remotely. If work, childcare, or distance makes the lobby tough, save that remote session for when you need the flexibility.
- Create your visitor account with ICSolutions - registration is required to video visit at this facility, and it’s free.
- Complete the registration details - enter the information requested so you can be approved to participate in video visitation.
- Use that account when you’re ready to visit - you’ll sign in through ICSolutions when it’s time to schedule or join a session.
After registering, you can visit via desktop computer or the IC Solutions mobile apps (ICSolutions/ICS Mobile) on Android or iOS. Desktop tends to be easier for anyone less comfortable with tech, but the mobile apps work fine as long as your connection is reliable.
Remote video visits are fee-based, and costs vary by facility. Beyond Greene County's weekly free allotment, you may pay for extra remote time - check pricing in your ICSolutions account before scheduling.
Note: Internet issues during offsite visits aren't refundable. Test your connection and device beforehand so you don't lose paid time to glitches.
Dress and Denial Reasons
- ✓ Transparent clothing
- ✓ Clothing that exposes breasts
- ✓ Clothing that exposes genitalia
- ✓ Vulgarity during the visit
- ✓ Racial or ethnic remarks
- ✓ Confrontational remarks
- ✓ Any other conduct monitoring or housing unit officers consider disruptive to video visiting operations or to security and good order
- ✓ Any discussion or display of illegal activities during the visit
Never use a video visit to contact a victim or witness. Greene County Jail prohibits it, and doing so can result in criminal charges or losing video visit privileges entirely.
Keep things calm and respectful. Vulgarity, racial or ethnic slurs, and confrontational remarks aren't tolerated - officers can end a visit if they see conduct as disruptive to security or good order. Don't discuss or display anything illegal either. That's a fast way to get cut off and risk losing video privileges altogether.
Quick Tips

- ✓ Keep your language calm and civil; vulgar, racial/ethnic, or confrontational remarks can end the visit
- ✓ Never try to contact a victim or witness during a video visit - it can trigger criminal charges or loss of privileges
- ✓ Don’t discuss or display illegal activity during the visit; it can lead to denial, termination, or suspension of video visiting privileges
