Grimes Unit, Newport, AR

Phone calls, video visits, and electronic messaging at Grimes Unit all go through a third-party communications vendor. You'll need to register with the approved vendor before using any of these services. Creating an account is usually free, but you'll need to add funds (either through the vendor account or commissary phone cards) to pay for calls, video sessions, or messages. At most Arkansas facilities, incarcerated people can only place outgoing calls. Incoming calls and third-party call arrangements are generally not allowed, and all calls are subject to monitoring and facility rules. For video visits and messaging, you'll need a compatible phone, tablet, or computer along with the vendor's app or a supported browser. Check minimum OS and browser requirements ahead of time, and test your device before your scheduled session.
