Visitation at Halawa Correctional Facility happens on weekends only—Saturday and Sunday. Only one housing module is scheduled for visits on any given day, so confirm your loved one's module is up before making the trip. Visits are strictly 30 minutes, and each visiting party is limited to one adult and one child. Everyone entering must be on the inmate's approved visitor list. Check-in times matter: arrive late for the posted cutoff and you'll be turned away. Visit stalls are sanitized between groups. Halawa Correctional Facility includes a medium-security unit and a separate Halawa Special Needs Facility (HSNF)—though HSNF is currently closed for renovation. To address overcrowding, roughly 1,400 male people are housed out of state in a contracted Arizona facility. This can affect visitation and access to on-site programs.
