Before You Drive to the Facility: How to Confirm Visits Won't Be Cancelled

Visits can get changed or cancelled for operational reasons, even when you've planned ahead. A quick confirmation call before you leave can save you a wasted trip, time off work, and last-minute childcare scrambling - especially if you're traveling across the island or working with a tight check-in window.

At Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC), visitors schedule by phone. Call (808) 832-1633 between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to set up your visit.

For Halawa Correctional Facility (HCF), visitation is weekends only (Saturday and Sunday). On the day you plan to visit, you can confirm whether visitation will be held as scheduled by calling (808) 485-5298 after 6:30 a.m.

Here's one more thing to confirm for HCF: only one module holds visits on any given day. When you call, ask which module is scheduled for that Saturday or Sunday - you don't want to show up on the wrong day for your person's housing unit.
