How to Schedule a Visit at Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC)
Visiting someone at Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) is straightforward once you know when to call and which time block fits their housing unit. Here's how to book your slot and avoid getting turned away at check-in.
OCCC offers visitation seven days a week, 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The exception? State holidays - no visits on those days. If you're aiming for a specific date, plan around holiday weekends.
For the main facility general population, visits run in two blocks: 7:30–10:00 and 11:00–11:30. When scheduling, pick the window that matches your loved one's unit - showing up during a slot reserved for a different housing area won't work.
Module 8 (Maximum unit) has a separate window: 11:30–12:00. Make sure your appointment matches this time range.
Module 7 (hold for appropriate housing) visits are 12:00–12:30. This is the last block of the day - there's no later slot to fall back on, so being on time matters.
To schedule, call (808) 832-1633. Scheduling calls are taken Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Call within that window to lock in your visit.
What to say when you call: Tell staff you want to schedule a visit at OCCC, then provide the inmate’s name and ask for the next available date/time that fits their housing unit’s visiting block.
Arrive early enough to complete check-in at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Check-in happens before you're allowed into the visit - cut it close, and you risk losing your slot.
Visits last 30 minutes and are non-contact. Go in with a plan for how you want to use that time - it goes fast.
- ✓ One visit per inmate, per week
- ✓ No more than two visitors at a time (including children)
Want to confirm visits are still happening on your scheduled day? Call (808) 832-1633. This is especially helpful if you're traveling across the island or juggling childcare and work.
Can't make your scheduled time? Call (808) 832-1633 during scheduling hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM) to rebook. Keep in mind there's a one-visit-per-inmate-per-week limit - missing a slot can affect when you're able to visit next.
