Setting Up Phone Calls and Money Deposits Through GTL / ConnectNetwork

Hawaii Community Corrections uses Global Tel Link (GTL) for inmate phone calls. For adding money to an inmate's trust account, the Department uses GTL/ViaPath's ConnectNetwork system.

To set up a GTL AdvancePay account for prepaid calls, call 1-877-650-4249. GTL offers a one-time, one-minute complimentary call that walks you through creating a prepaid account and receiving future calls from the facility. If you get that short call, listen closely - it'll guide you through the rest of the setup.

Gtl Payment Options

  • Collect
  • Prepaid
  • Debit

To send money electronically, create a ConnectNetwork account and deposit funds to your loved one's account. Need help setting things up or troubleshooting a deposit? Call ConnectNetwork support at 1-877-650-4249.

Give yourself some lead time. Deposits made through ConnectNetwork take 1–2 business days to reach the facility, so money you send today won't show up immediately.

Practical Tips

  • Make sure you’re an approved visitor before trying to send an electronic trust-fund deposit - electronic deposits are limited to approved visitors only.
  • Watch the monthly cap: electronic deposit amounts are limited to $300 per inmate, per month.

Timing tip: Because ConnectNetwork deposits are transmitted within 1–2 business days, send funds early if your loved one needs commissary money by a specific day.
