How to Schedule a Video Visit at Highland County Jail (ICSolutions / The Visitor)
Video visits at Highland County Jail are pretty straightforward once you know the rules. Two big things to keep in mind: visits are video-only (and recorded), and you need to schedule at least 24 hours ahead.
Highland County Jail uses remote video visitation through ICSolutions (The Visitor). There are no in-person visits through this system. All visits are video-only and recorded. You'll also need to plan ahead: Highland County requires visits to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance, so same-day booking typically isn't an option.
Before you can book a time, you'll need an ICSolutions account. Highland County directs family and friends to sign up through ICSolutions, and you won't be able to schedule anything until your account is created and your visitation registration is complete.
During registration, you'll identify the inmate (or inmates) you want to visit and state your relationship to that person. Choose carefully here. Your relationship selection can affect what type of visit you're able to schedule.
Note: If you register under a "privileged" relationship, the facility's Site Administrator must approve it before you can schedule privileged, non-recorded sessions.
Highland County requires visitors to download and test the ICSolutions visitation app before scheduling. You can do this on a Windows computer or on a mobile device running Android or iOS (iPhone or iPad). Don't skip the test step. The jail's instructions are clear: you must test the app before you'll be able to book a visit.
- ✓ A computer or internet-enabled mobile device
- ✓ A working speaker
- ✓ A working camera
- Install the ICSolutions visitation app for your device: use the Windows version if you are on a computer, or the Android/iOS app if you are on a phone or tablet.
- Run the required test: complete the built-in test in the app, since you must download and test the application before scheduling.
- Fix any audio/video problems right away: if the test fails, check your camera and speaker settings, then test again before you try to book.
When you register for visitation, you'll select the inmate you want to visit and define your relationship to them. If you choose a privileged relationship, the facility's Site Administrator has to approve that registration before you can schedule privileged, non-recorded sessions. If your scheduling options look limited, double-check that your registration and relationship selection are set correctly and fully approved.
Ready to pick a time? Work backward from the 24-hour rule. Highland County requires video visits to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance, so choose a date and time that's at least a full day out.
All scheduling happens through ICSolutions after you've signed up and completed your visitation registration. Once your account is set up and your device test is done, you can select an available slot and submit the request inside the ICSolutions system.
Tip: After you schedule, double-check your confirmation details to make sure the visit time is at least 24 hours out.
