Visiting at Hill Correctional Center takes some prep, but it's manageable once you know the steps. All in-person visits must be scheduled online through the IDOC SignUpGenius site. The session times out after 30 minutes of inactivity, so have your information ready. If you're 18 or older, you must complete the Prospective Visitor's Interview (PVI DOC 0148) before your first visit unless you're approved electronically. Non-legal visitors must be on the incarcerated person's approved visitation list. Bring two forms of ID (one must be a current state-issued photo ID) and be ready to provide vehicle information at check-in. Free small lockers are available for prohibited items, and you can carry the locker key inside after accepting personal responsibility. Expect a COVID-19 symptom and temperature screening, an enforced dress code, and possible searches of vehicles and belongings.

Hill Correctional Center uses ICSolutions for video visitation, and IDOC is transitioning phone services to ICSolutions statewide. Register with the vendor and verify your account before your first appointment so you don't miss it. All video visits must be scheduled through the ICSolutions website. Don't call the facility to book a session. Video visits are limited to one per day and two per week (including restrictive housing), and must be scheduled at least seven days in advance. All visits are monitored live and recorded. Rule violations can end your visit immediately and suspend future visits. For phone calls, IDOC is moving from Securus to ICSolutions.
