Hilltop Unit uses the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler. You'll need to create your own visitor account since staff can't set one up for you (though they can help update your information once your account exists). If your Relationship Request shows "Relation Requests Pending Approval," you won't be able to schedule a visit until TDCJ staff approve it. Regular on-site visits last two hours, starting when both you and the inmate are present. During contact visits, physical contact is limited to one embrace and one kiss at the beginning and one at the end. Holding hands is allowed only with hands on top of the table where staff can see. Visits can be restricted or canceled for security, lockdowns, or health reasons.

To send money to an inmate at Hilltop Unit, you must be approved first. Only people on the inmate's Approved Visitor list or Inmate Telephone List can make deposits, so ask your loved one to add you before you try. You can deposit through approved online vendors, kiosks, or by mailing a money order or cashier's check. Don't send cash or personal checks, and follow the centralized deposit instructions exactly so your payment gets credited correctly. Expect fees for online and kiosk options: eCommDirect charges $3.75 per purchase, plus a $2.50 fee and 2.25% of the deposit amount. The Inmate Trust Fund office can confirm receipt but usually won't share balances or transaction details with third parties.
