Send Money at Hutchins Unit (HJ)

How to deposit funds, commissary, and payment options

Overview

Hutchins Unit only accepts money deposits from people on the inmate's Approved Visitation List or Inmate Telephone List (effective Sept. 1, 2020). Cash and personal checks aren't accepted—they'll be returned. To mail a deposit, send a money order or cashier's check with a deposit slip to: Inmate Trust Fund, PO Box 60, Huntsville, TX 77342-0060. You can also use approved vendors (Access Corrections, ACE, eCommDirect, JPay, TouchPay) or set up ACH monthly debits. Vendors and kiosks charge service fees and follow their own processing rules. Keep timing in mind: single transactions of $500 or more (and certain checks) are held for 14 days before the inmate can access the funds. Commissary prices and availability vary by location.
