How to Apply and Schedule Visits for Someone at IMCC (Iowa Medical & Classification Center)
Visiting someone at IMCC starts with getting approved through the Iowa Department of Corrections. Once approved, you'll schedule both in-person and video visits through the Ameelio app.
Every adult who wants to visit must fill out and submit their own Visitor Application. Going as a couple or a group? Each person needs to send in a separate application. Kids don't submit their own. Minors must be listed on the Visitor Application completed by their parent or legal guardian.
Iowa DOC does not accept electronic visitor applications. You will need to print the application, sign it, and mail it in for processing.

Quick clarification: Ameelio customer support cannot approve or deny visitation requests. Those decisions are made by facility staff.
A denial doesn't have to be the end of it. If your visitation request is denied, you can appeal the decision in writing. Address your appeal to the Central Visiting Authority at Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility and mail it in for review.
