If you’re scheduling in person, go to the Detention Services Division visitation area at 200 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, CO. When you arrive, the jail lobby and visitor parking are in the upper southwest parking lot, accessed off Jefferson County Parkway and Weirmer Street.

Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled time. That gives you a cushion to get inside, find the right area, and check in with the receptionist or a deputy without feeling rushed.
Timing and behavior matter: Your visit ends exactly 20 minutes after the scheduled start - show up late and you lose that time. If an inmate or visitor abuses visiting privileges, displays misconduct, or becomes a safety threat, staff can end the visit immediately. The inmate may also lose future visitation privileges through disciplinary action.
On-site visits run daily in three time blocks: 9:00–10:30 a.m., 1:10–4:30 p.m., and 7:40–8:30 p.m. Each session lasts 20 minutes, so be ready to start right when your slot begins.
The number of on-site visits an inmate can have each week depends on their classification - one, two, or three visits. Jefferson County's visiting week runs Sunday through Saturday, so limits reset each Sunday.
If you're 18 or older, bring a current photo ID - physical only, no digital IDs accepted. The address and state on your ID must match what you provided when scheduling. If they don't match, you may be turned away.
Keep your group small: no more than three visitors at a time in the on-site visiting area. Dress appropriately - shirts and shoes are required. Show up out of compliance and you may be asked to reschedule.
No exchanges during visits: Don’t bring gifts, items, food, or drinks expecting to pass them to the inmate - none may be exchanged during visitation.
