Why Your Visit to Jefferson County Jail Might Be Denied

Jefferson County Jail can deny visitation if staff believe a visitor poses a security risk, a safety risk, or is disruptive to other visitors. A visit can also be denied because of disciplinary action taken against the inmate, even if you showed up prepared and followed the visitor rules.

• ✓ Don’t step out if you need to come back in. No one is permitted to return to the visitation area after they have exited.
• ✓ Don’t bring cash or money orders to the front desk. No money or money orders will be accepted at the reception desk.
