TDCJ runs visitation on a weekly "visiting cycle," which trips people up at first. Each cycle starts Monday and ends the following Sunday. Inmates typically get one visit per cycle - so if you visit on Saturday, that counts for that week. Your next visit won't count until the new cycle begins on Monday.

Contact visits last two hours. The clock starts when both you and the inmate are present together - not when you arrive at the unit.
