What to Bring (and What to Leave Home) for Your First Visit to Kewanee Re-entry Center
Your first visit will go much smoother if you know exactly what to bring—and what to leave in the car. Here's your quick checklist for Kewanee Re-entry Center.
Adult visitors need two forms of ID. One must be a current, state-issued photo ID - check that expiration date before you leave home.

Brought something you shouldn't have? No need to go back to the car. Small lockers are available in the Visiting Center where you can store personal belongings before entering the Visiting Room.
Leave pills and medication at home. The only exceptions: physician-prescribed heart medication (in a properly labeled container) or an asthma inhaler.
Even if your heart medication is allowed, you won't keep it with you. Staff will store it at the officer's desk in the Visiting Room.

Expect a body search at the Visitor Center - it's standard for everyone entering.
Warning: Show up intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and you won't get in.
