How to Register for Visiting Privileges at Kirkland Correctional Institution

Adults 18 or older with a valid South Carolina driver's license can register for visitation online at Kirkland Correctional Institution. It's the fastest way to get started if you meet those requirements.

Who Paper

• ✓ Adults who do not have an ID or driver’s license (for example, someone who uses a passport or a U.S. visa) can use a paper visitation application.

• ✓ Adults with an out-of-state driver’s license must use a paper visitation application.

• ✓ Adults who have technical difficulties using a computer - or who don’t have access to a computer - can use a paper visitation application.

Minor children must go through the paper application process. The application needs documentation verifying the child's relationship to the inmate, so plan on using the paper route from the start.

The paper application is Form 19-127 (Request for Visiting Privileges). Here's the catch: only the inmate can provide this form to you. If you don't have it yet, ask them to send it.

1. Fill out Form 19-127 completely - Use the Form 19-127 the inmate sent you, and fully complete it before you send it in.
2. Mail the completed form to the SCDC visitation division - Send your paper application to the Division of Visitation and Inmate Drug Testing at the mailing address listed below.
