Setting Up Virtual Visits with Someone at Kirkland: A Step-by-Step Guide

To request a virtual visit with someone at Kirkland, you must be on that person’s approved visitation list. Once you’re approved, each visitor needs their own GTL virtual visitation account at scdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app - even if you plan to sit together during the call.

Use your exact legal name when creating your account - it needs to match what's on the approved visitation list. Nicknames won't work. If the list says

  1. Confirm you’re on the approved visitation list - virtual visits can only be requested by approved visitors.
  2. Create your own account - go to scdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app and set up an account for each person who plans to participate (everyone needs their own login, even if you’re visiting together).

Device check: iPhones aren’t compatible right now. Use a computer, tablet, or Android phone for Kirkland virtual visits.

  • Test your camera and microphone ahead of time.
  • Be in front of your device 15 minutes before the visit start time.

Virtual visits cost a flat $10 and last up to 50 minutes. You're charged when the visit starts - if either side ends early, there's no partial refund. Visits begin on the hour, so plan accordingly.

Up to four approved visitors can join a single virtual visit. Kids count toward that limit, and approved minors must participate alongside an approved adult.

Plans change. You can modify a scheduled visit up to two days in advance, or cancel up to one day before.

Have ID ready. The visitation coordinator will ask approved visitors age 10 and older to show photo identification. For approved children under 10, you'll need a certified long-form birth certificate.

Heads up: Certain venues/locations are prohibited for virtual visits, and rule violations can lead to your virtual visiting privileges being suspended.
