You must be an approved visitor to book a virtual visit at Kirkland. Each session can include up to four approved visitors total - and approved minor children count toward that cap. Two adults and two kids? That's your limit.
Virtual visits run through GTL, and everyone who plans to participate needs their own account - even if you're all joining the same visit. Use the exact name that appears on the inmate's approved visitation list when you sign up. No nicknames. Mismatched names can cause problems when it's time to connect.
A virtual visit costs a flat $10 for 50 minutes. You're charged when the visit begins. If it ends early, there's no partial refund for unused time.
Virtual visits start on the hour - no 2:15 or 2:30 slots. Plan around those fixed start times.
Tip: Be in front of your device 15 minutes before your visit starts so you don’t lose paid time dealing with last-minute login or audio/video issues.
Kirkland's virtual visits work on a computer, tablet, or Android phone. iPhones were not compatible at the time of the published guidance, so plan on using a different device if that's what you normally rely on.
