How to Request a Special Visit at ASPC La Palma (Birth, Death, or Serious Illness)
Need to request a special visit due to a birth, death, or serious illness? The process is straightforward, but timing and paperwork matter. Here's how to submit your request the right way.
Submit your request at least one week before your proposed visit date. In your email, include the detainee's name and number, the date and time you'd like to visit, and the reason for the request - whether that's a birth, death, or serious illness.
Reminder: Submit special visit requests at least one week before the visit date you’re requesting.
Email your special visit request to CAFCCVisitation@corecivic.com.
Required Documents
- ✓ Proof of residency: a scanned copy of a valid ID
- ✓ Proof of residency: a scanned copy of a driver’s license
- ✓ Proof of residency: a scanned copy of a passport
- ✓ Proof you are an immediate family member: birth certificate
- ✓ Proof you are an immediate family member: marriage certificate
If your request is related to a serious health issue, a birth, or a death, attach documentation that supports that situation along with your email request.
Note: Attach clear copies of your ID and relationship documents - these are used to support your request, and you’ll be expected to have the corresponding ID available for entry if the visit is approved.
Once approved, bring the same ID you submitted with your request. You'll need to show it to the Lobby Officer before entering the complex.
Need to follow up or send paperwork another way? Contact the Central Arizona Florence Correctional Complex at 1100 Bowling Road, P.O. Box 2667, Florence, AZ 85132. Phone: 520.868.9095. Fax: 520.868-9565.
- Pick a visit date at least a week out - the request has to be submitted at least one week before the date you’re asking for.
- Write a complete request email - include the detainee’s name and number, your proposed date/time, and the reason for the special visit.
- Scan your proof of residency clearly - attach a scanned valid ID, driver’s license, or passport.
- Attach proof of immediate family relationship - include a birth certificate or marriage certificate.
- Add supporting proof for the situation - if it’s a serious health issue, birth, or death, include documentation that shows what happened.
Watch for delays: The most common holdups? Missing documentation for the situation (health records, birth or death certificates), blurry ID scans, or forgetting to include proof of your relationship to the detainee.
