How to Request a Special Visit at CAFCC (Email-Based Process Starting 1/1/2026)
Need to request a special visit at CAFCC? Starting 1/1/2026, the process moves to email. Here's exactly what to send, when to send it, and what to bring if you're approved.
As of 1/1/2026, you - the visitor - must initiate special visit requests by email. Send your request to CAFCCVisitation@corecivic.com. This is now the required first step for scheduling any special visit.
Give yourself time. CAFCC requires your request and supporting documents at least one week before your proposed visit date. Staff need that window to review everything before approving your visit.
Required Contents
- ✓ The detainee’s name
- ✓ The detainee’s identification number
- ✓ The proposed date and time you’re requesting
- ✓ The reason you’re requesting a special visit
- ✓ Proof of residency: a scanned copy of a valid ID, driver’s license, or passport
- ✓ If you’re requesting as immediate family: proof in the form of a birth certificate or marriage certificate
- ✓ If it applies to your situation: documentation of a serious health issue
- ✓ If it applies to your situation: documentation of a birth in the immediate family
- ✓ If it applies to your situation: documentation of a death in the immediate family
Email your request to CAFCCVisitation@corecivic.com. Under the new process (effective 1/1/2026), visitors initiate the request - so make sure the email comes from you and includes all required details and attachments.
Once approved, bring the same ID you submitted with your request. You'll need to show it to the Lobby Officer before entering the facility.
Reference: The change notice lists 1100 Bowling Road, P.O. Box 2667, Florence, AZ 85132, with phone 520.868.9095 and fax 520.868-9565.
- Scan your proof of residency clearly - Use a clear scan of your valid ID, driver’s license, or passport so your information is readable.
- Match your ID to what you’ll bring in person - The ID you send as proof of residency should be the same one you’re prepared to present at the lobby if your visit is approved.
- Double-check the detainee’s details before sending - Confirm the detainee’s name and identification number in your email to avoid avoidable delays.
Don't skip attachments: Requesting as immediate family? Include a birth certificate or marriage certificate. If your visit relates to a serious health issue, birth, or death in the immediate family, attach the relevant documentation.
