Special visits are reserved for urgent family situations: a serious health issue, a birth, or a death involving an immediate family member. The facility reviews each request based on the reason you provide, so have documentation ready that matches the emergency - medical records, a death certificate, or similar paperwork.
If your request depends on being immediate family, include proof of that relationship with your email. The facility accepts a birth certificate or a marriage certificate for this purpose.
Starting 1/1/2026, visitors initiate special-visit requests for ASPC La Palma by email. Send your request to CAFCCVisitation@corecivic.com with your supporting documents attached so staff can review everything together.

- ✓ The proposed date and time for the special visit
Timing requirement: Submit the email request and all supporting documentation at least one week before the date you’re asking to visit.
Attach proof of residency - a scanned copy of your valid ID, driver's license, or passport. If your visit is approved, bring that same ID with you. The Lobby Officer will check it before letting you in.
For immediate-family situations, attach proof of your relationship. A birth certificate or marriage certificate works.
When the visit relates to a serious health issue, birth, or death, include documentation that supports your reason. The facility needs proof connected to the event before approving your request.
Once approved, bring the same ID you submitted as proof of residency. You'll show it to the Lobby Officer before entering.
