Three Ways to Send Money to an Inmate at Lawrence Correctional Center (JPay, MoneyGram, Western Union) — and How Money Orders Must Be Sent

JPay is the most common way to add funds to an inmate's account at Lawrence Correctional Center. It's quick, and most people find it straightforward to use.

MoneyGram works too. Head to any MoneyGram location and fill out the Blue Money Gram Express Payment Form. Use receiving code 7364 - that's what routes the payment correctly.

Your third option is Send2Corrections, which runs through Western Union. If you've sent money via Western Union to IDOC facilities before, this is the service you want.

Heads up: IDOC (including Lawrence Correctional Center) no longer uses GTL (ConnectNetwork/ViaPath) for deposit services, so you’ll want to use JPay, MoneyGram, or Send2Corrections instead.

Most electronic deposits cap at $5,000 - but MoneyGram is the exception. If you're sending a larger amount, that difference matters when picking a service.

MoneyGram limit: MoneyGram transactions have a maximum of $3,000.

Seeing old instructions online? Double-check the service name before sending. IDOC no longer uses GTL (ConnectNetwork/ViaPath) for deposits, so any limits or rules from that platform no longer apply.

Three Ways to Send Money to an Inmate at Lawrence Correctional Center (JPay, MoneyGram, Western Union) — and How Money Orders Must Be Sent

Money orders are accepted at Lawrence Correctional Center, but each one maxes out at $999.99. Need to send more? Split it across multiple money orders, keeping each under the limit.

  • Include the lockbox deposit slip with your money order.
  • Make sure the deposit slip lists the individual in custody’s name and IDOC number.
  • Fill in the sender’s name and address on the deposit slip.
  • Get the lockbox deposit slip at the facility or from the JPay money order webpage.

Make the money order payable to JPay - not the incarcerated person, not the facility. IDOC won't accept it otherwise.

Mail your money order and the lockbox deposit slip to: PO Box 260250, Hollywood, FL 33026.

Quick money order checklist: Keep it under $999.99, include the lockbox deposit slip, make it payable to JPay, and mail it to PO Box 260250, Hollywood, FL 33026.
