How to Look Up Someone in Lawrence County Jail Right Now
Need to find out if someone is in the Lawrence County Detention Center? The online inmate roster is your fastest option. The page is straightforward and easy to scan.
The roster page displays a count right in the header - you'll see
Note: Look for a header that reads like “Inmate Roster (70)” - that number is the roster count shown on the page.
- Find the roster options - on the detention center’s roster area, you’ll see different views you can choose.
- Select “Current Inmates” - this view is used to display people currently at the Lawrence County Detention Center.
- Scroll the list and open the right entry - once the list loads, locate the person you’re looking for and review their roster details.
Each person listed on the roster is shown in their own entry, and you can scan those entries for the basics quickly. The roster displays the person’s name, their booking number, and the booking date and time so you can tell how recent the booking is. It also lists the charge or charges connected to that booking, along with bond information when it’s shown.
The name appears prominently at the top of the entry, typically in all caps with the last name first (for example, “COBB, KOLBY”). If you’re unsure about spelling, look carefully at the last name formatting - small differences can matter when you’re scanning a long list.
“Booking #” is the unique booking number tied to that person’s current booking (for example, a number like 1900009153). If you end up needing to call with questions, having the booking number in front of you makes it much easier to confirm you’re asking about the right person.
The “Booking Date” line shows when the person was booked, including the time (you may see it formatted like “01-27-2026 - 4:05 pm”). This is helpful when you’re trying to match the roster entry to when the arrest or booking happened.
Under “Charges,” the roster lists the offense(s) connected to that booking. Some entries show a single charge on one line, while others list multiple charges stacked one after another - so if you only skim the first line, you might miss additional charges.
The “Bond” field shows what bond information is displayed for that booking. Sometimes it’s a dollar amount (for example, “$500”), and sometimes the roster may show a different status instead of a number - either way, this is the spot on the entry where bond information appears.
If the person isn’t showing up under the current list, switch to the “48 Hour Release” view. That roster view is specifically for people who were released from the Lawrence County Detention Center within the last 48 hours, which can help you confirm a recent release without guessing.
Tip: Check “48 Hour Release” when someone was just booked and you’re being told they’re already out - it’s built for recent-release checks.
