Bring a photo ID if you’re an adult visitor. Staff check IDs at check-in, and you won’t be able to start the visit without it.

Bringing a child? Plan for their identification too - LSCC requires two forms of ID for children. Not sure what counts? Call ahead before making the trip so you don't get stuck at check-in.

Before Your First Visit to Little Sandy: A Checklist of What to Bring and What Not to Bring

Money Keys Infant

  • Up to $40 per inmate you’re visiting
  • Cash must be $1 bills and silver change only
  • Keep the money in a clear container (like a plastic baggie or clear coin purse)
  • Bring only 1 ignition key and 1 door key
  • A locker key is allowed as specified
  • No key chains

Keep your accessories minimal. LSCC allows one watch, one ring, and one pair of earrings. Stick with a basic watch - smartwatches and any wrist-worn devices with touchscreens aren't allowed.

Tobacco-free rule: LSCC is a tobacco-free institution. Don’t bring tobacco with you, and don’t use it on facility grounds - possession or use is prohibited.

Before heading inside, secure your vehicle exactly as LSCC requires: windows up, doors locked, trunk locked, sunroof closed and locked. If staff find your vehicle unsecured, your visit can be terminated on the spot.

Don’t hand items to an inmate: You may not bring items into the visiting room to give to an inmate unless you have prior approval from the Warden.
