Visiting Little Sandy with Children: ID and Supervision Rules by Age

Every adult visitor at Little Sandy Correctional Complex must present a photo ID at check-in. If you're bringing a child, staff will verify your ID as part of the normal entry process before the visit can begin.

Children have their own ID requirement at LSCC: two forms of identification. Bring both. Missing paperwork can mean a delayed visit - or getting turned away entirely.

Being

LSCC treats infants differently than older kids. Infants (age 0–1 year) may be held by the inmate - a big help if you're visiting with a baby and trying to keep them calm.

Note: Infants under six months may visit without a Social Security number, as long as the person bringing them meets all visiting guidelines.

Once you're in the visiting area, supervision rules are strict. All children older than infants must be seated or held by the visiting parent or guardian throughout the visit. This isn't a setting where kids can move around on their own - plan to stay hands-on.
