Grafton Mail Update (March 2024): How to Address Letters, What Changed, and Who to Contact

Starting March 5, 2024, personal letters and cards for people at Grafton Correctional Center must go to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Mail Processing Center (OMPC). Your mail no longer goes directly to the facility - OMPC handles it first.

Address your envelope like this so it reaches the right person: put the incarcerated person's name and ODRC number on the first line (for example, "John Doe R111111" or "John Doe A555555"), then add the OMPC address: Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Mail Processing Center (OMPC) 884 Coitsville-Hubbard Road Youngstown, Ohio 44505

Already sent something to the old Grafton address? It'll get forwarded to OMPC, but expect a delay. Update your address book, phone contacts, and any autofill settings now so your next letter goes straight through.

If a letter goes missing or you have questions about OMPC mail, contact them directly at ODRCMailProcessingCenter@drc.ohio.gov or call 1-330-333-7372.

This change only affects personal letters and cards. Legal mail, business correspondence, magazines, newspapers, and books follow different rules - check the specific instructions for those.
