How Luther Luckett's Honor Inmate Visiting Schedule Works (including new Saturday visits)

At Luther Luckett, the baseline is straightforward: each inmate gets one visit per week. Regular visiting days are Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Most families plan around those two weekdays.

Honor status changes that rhythm. Instead of picking one day, Honor inmates can receive visits on both Wednesday and Friday. That means more flexibility for your schedule - and more chances to connect during the week.

How Luther Luckett's Honor Inmate Visiting Schedule Works (including new Saturday visits)

Starting September 2025, Honor inmates also get one Saturday visit per month. This is separate from the regular Wednesday/Friday schedule - an extra weekend opportunity for families who can't make it during the week.

  • ✓ 7-David Honor/meritorious inmates: Saturday visit is the 2nd Saturday of each month
  • ✓ 7-Edward Honor/meritorious inmates: Saturday visit is the 3rd Saturday of each month

These Saturday visits last two hours. You can enter the facility no earlier than 8:30 a.m. and no later than 2:30 p.m. Arrive after that cutoff and you may miss the visit entirely - so build in extra time for travel and check-in.

Note: Before making a Saturday trip, confirm your loved one still has Honor status. That's what qualifies them for the monthly Saturday visit starting September 2025.

  1. Aim to arrive about 30 minutes early - the facility recommends arriving 30 minutes prior so you can clear security and use your full two-hour visit.
  2. Stay inside the entry window - you can enter no earlier than 8:30 a.m. and no later than 2:30 p.m., so don’t plan a last-minute arrival.
