How Madison's mail processing change affects letters and cards (OMPC / Youngstown): correct address and contacts
Starting May 1, 2024, all personal letters and cards for people at Madison Corrections Institution go to a new address. You'll mail them to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) Mail Processing Center (OMPC) in Youngstown - not directly to the facility.
Write the incarcerated person's name and number on the first line of your envelope. Use the format ODRC provides - something like "John Doe R111111" or "John Doe A555555."
Send personal letters and cards to this OMPC address: Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Mail Processing Center (OMPC) 884 Coitsville-Hubbard Road Youngstown, Ohio 44505
- ✓ John Doe R111111 (or John Doe A555555)
- ✓ Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction
- ✓ Mail Processing Center (OMPC)
- ✓ 884 Coitsville-Hubbard Road
- ✓ Youngstown, Ohio 44505
Questions about mail processing? Email ODRCMailProcessingCenter@drc.ohio.gov - this is also where to go if something goes wrong with your mail.
You can reach OMPC by phone at 1-330-333-7372 for mail-processing questions.
Note: This change only applies to personal mail. Legal mail, business correspondence, and printed materials like magazines, newspapers, and books still go directly to the facility.
