Planning Your Visit: Madison's Session Times and Monthly Limits
Trying to line up a visit at Madison Correctional Institution? The key things to plan around are session times, the reservation window, and limits on visits and guests.
Madison Correctional Institution offers two visiting sessions Monday through Friday. Session 1 runs from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Session 2 runs from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. You'll need to reserve your in-person visit through the online portal. Reservations must be made at least one day in advance, and you can't book more than 30 days out. Plan your travel and time off around that 1 to 30 day window.
Tip: Arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your session starts so you have time to get through check-in.
Weekend visits run in two sessions on both Saturday and Sunday. Session 1 is 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Session 2 is 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Same rules as weekdays: book through the online portal at least one day ahead, and no more than 30 days in advance.
Madison allows two visits per month for each incarcerated adult. This limit applies even if the person you're visiting is in SEG or AB. Each visit can include up to two guests. Coordinating family members or a support person? Keep that two-guest limit in mind when deciding who comes to a specific session.
