Books must ship directly from the publisher - you can't mail them in yourself. If you're ordering online, verify where the package actually ships from before completing your purchase.

Hardcover books aren’t allowed at McHenry County Jail. If you’re choosing between editions, pick a paperback or other softcover version so it has a better chance of being accepted.

Note: All mail must go through the U.S. Postal Service. You cannot drop off items for inmates in person.

You can pick up rejected items at McHenry County Correctional Facility Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays.
